I've been thinking, and I remember Samurai back at Chessie, but I have a question and that is...
Was Samurai more cared for at Chessie? Did it still have a few breakdowns throughout the day every now and then? Because I'm not sure if Thorpe just let rides go, and do slightly run them down? I meen look, it was red and black at Chessie now it's just painted blue but still looks to me like it has the same un-changed red and black gondalas?
Has Samurai changed a lot since it's arrival at Thorpe in 2004?

I rode Samurai once at Chessie. It was my best ride on it. It was miles better at Chessie, it was well looked after, broke down less and was run on more intense cycles.

That sort of sumed it all up, Thorpe have let it go!
I suppose it was cared for more at chessie as they didn't have as many majour rides to care for!

It proberly was there main attraction for adults. I never got to ride it at Chessington but lots of people like rush have been saying to me that it was alot better then than it is now.

Samurai was much better when it was at Chessie but then it was a younger ride. Although when it moved to Thorpe Park the cycles were not as intense i do feel that the ride has naturally aged and the repositioning would not have helped it at all.

How much do you actually think Samurai cost to buy from Mondial in the first place? £1 million? more/less?
Just wondering because its always been pretty popular so they have got their money from it really.
When was it first bought, anyone know?
